Nancy Bond's subtle humor is entrancing, her knowledge of place is evident, and her plots have twists you cannot foretell. Her characters tend to be loners thrusting themselves more deeply into loneliness, but forcing them to deal with realities eventually. They seem to finally appreciate new environments, with souls intact. Folklore is a great part of the scene. Linda Owens
