I am 74 years old but love to read children's books, which I regard as the purest of literature. This is an excellent book - in the writing and in the message. I think the seller advertised this book as good condition. I would say it is just like new. There should be more deals like this from beginning to end: the world would be a much better place - a small but important contribution to the joy in the world.

My favorite kids book.
If Jesus Came to My House (written in 1952) is a wonderful little book that teaches children basic bible truths in a very catchy rhyming format. A little boy imagines Jesus coming to visit him when Jesus is the same age as the boy. He ends by noting that, even though the boy Jesus won't ever visit him, he can still welcome Jesus by doing kind things for others instead.

Endearing Gentle Book about Sharing
I was given this book 'If Jesus Came to My House' as a child of 5 years. I was an only child and this book became my companion. In my mind I was the host child welcoming the boy Jesus to my home . The message is pure and simple and easily understood by a 5 year old; to share with others is to embody the spirit of love for all humanity. I could not have expressed it in those terms then of course, but I now realise that this book shaped who I am.
One does not need to be Christian to embrace the fundamental truth of sharing or caring for others. I recommend this book to all who wish to give their child an understanding of what it is to be a good person.
