Georgie is a sad and appealing little character and I found myself pulling for him to triumph over the ills life had delt him. There is no perfect ending which does keep in tune with the story of his life. It would have been nice to keep some of the characters who made appearences in the story then were never heard from again. All in all, a quick read that kept my interest, but it seems the author went to extremes to score emotional points.
