A great resource
I found this book overwhelmingly helpful for understanding the obscure terms (especially about currency), customs and other references in Regency and Victorian literature. I find the author to be a bit snarky on the subject of English Christianity, but on the whole an excellent reference. There is much cultural discussion and a very thorough glossary of terms. Essential for students, and handy for those who simply read for pleasure, this will definitely add to your understanding and enjoyment of the works of those periods.
