The book is a good starting point for those interested in Ms. Du Pre's overall life and muscial history. But it lacks the substance of its stated purpose to reveal the real woman who spent nearly 1/2 of her life disabled. I was disapointed not to learn anything new and think her real story hasn't yet been told. Sadly, it seems Ms. Du Pre dind't have anyone who loved her enough to understand her or her struggles.
