The stories in this book were commissioned by a bookseller for a 'friend'. Henry Miller was friendly with the bookseller, but never met the 'friend', who wanted raw erotica, minus subtleties and poetic description. Anaïs Nin paid bills from the proceeds, but subtly rebelled against the stipulations and gives us some poetic descriptions, particularly in the last story. Interesting psychologically and historically.

Tickled fantasy
Anais Nin's work is truly legendary. She's a pioneer in the fantastical world of eroticism.
