A "haunting" (New York Post) new tale from the bestselling author of Hill Towns. The Kennedys are only mildly concerned when construction begins on the lot next to theirs. Soon, however, tragedies seem to strike those who live in the house next door much too frequently. Previous publisher: Simon & Schuster.

A well-paced tale and sufficiently creepy involving not only the house but the fascinating deterioration of the friends and neighbors surrounding it. In addition, Ann Rivers Siddons writes so well, and is a joy to read.

Different type of book for this author
This book dealt with a haunted house. Everyone who moved into the home had terrible things happen to them! From a revieiw I read, it wasn't clear that this book was "occultish!" I probably would not have read it if I had known. It is not a typical Anne Rivers Siddons book!
