The majority-councillors sent telegrams to a number of those resident in Lon don strongly urging them to attend the post poned meeting to be held on August 6. This meeting took place at the Central Hall, Westminster Over 1200 pharmacists were pre sent. It was the largest assemblage of members of the Society yet held. Mr. W. L Currie pre sided, and he was supported on the platform by members of the Council, the Secretary (sir Wm. Glyn-jones), the Resident Secretary for Scot land (mr J. Rutherford Hill), and the Solicitor (mr. W. H. Quarrell). The proceedings were lively, but less disorderly than the previous meet ing. There was a good deal of interruption, and much cross talk.
