This book will act as the guide or catalogue of the Museum and provides a comprehensive account of the history of the moving image from Daguerre to "Dallas". Separate chapters are devoted to animation, the star system, the studios, TV drama, public broadcasting, the impact of video, film criticism and the future of cinema. The book will be well illustrated and is intended to provide a full account of the progress of film history.
