Imagine if food fell from the sky like rain...wouldn't it be great? Or would it? This is what happened in the tiny town of Chewandswallow. In many ways it was much the same as any other small town, except for the weather...which came three times a day, at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sometimes it rained soup and juice, or snowed mashed potatoes, once or twice it even blew up a storm of hamburgers. Life was pretty delicious in Chewandswallow...until the weather took a turn for the worse!

This particular saturday morning at breakfast, Grandpa was preparing pancakes. He accidentially flips one on top his grandson's head. Later that night, this is his inspiration for their (the grandchildren's )bedtime story. He weaves a whimsical tale of the town of CHEWANDSWALLOW. Where no food/grocery stores exist. Because the sky supplied all the food they needed. "It never rained rain, only soup and juice. It snowed mashed potatoes and green peas. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers." And so this story within a story unfolds.... Cute, imaginative and charming. Exceptional drawings.
