Seller's Description:
Good. Good condition. A copy that has been read but remains intact. May contain markings such as bookplates, stamps, limited notes and highlighting, or a few light stains.
I read this book aloud, over and over and over, when my my two nephews came for a visit and contracted chicken pox. They were quarantined for two weeks, and the one thing that kept them happy was this book. I have been told this book is too upsetting for young readers---mainly second graders. I showed it to one child and let her "borrow" it! She ended up moving, and she took my book with her!! The copy I had was a family heirloom---a first edition. I did replace it--but it is not the same. I do love the story, and all kids get a kick out of saying "Fortunately" and "Unfortunately." Time cannot dull a good story!!
