Fabulous!
I first read and loved the Carbonel series when I was a little girl. Although I'm very much older now, the Carbonel mood occasionally arises in me and and I reread the books with undimmed enjoyment. Special books become part of one's soul. The delightful, innocent, humorous fantasy of a talking royal cat and the children he adopts into his adventures makes for great reading and reminiscing throughout one's life. I've hunted down and given these books to a few other cherished people throughout the years, and so far all have loved them too. Highly recommended for children and adults who used to be children.
