This earlier book by Pumak which has many of the exquisite ingredients of the turkish nobel prize winner's later writings ie "My Name Is Red" and "Museum of Innocence" but lacks the depth and maturity which rightfully earned him that prize. In addition the translation feels unnatural and not worthy of the poetic style which is so characteristic of Pamuk.
