I took several wine courses some 14 years. This is a concise course in wine,, and is the best I have ever looked at. While it is a learning experience, it is fun and enjoyable I learned more from this book than all I have learned from talking and listening to many so-called wine experts. I have given several copies to friends and all agree it is both entertaining and very interesting. I find Jancis Robinson's writing clear and on point, as well as filled with side lights that make it a great read.
