Wild Voice of the North is a great saga about a scientist's attempt to study and record the mysterious habits of lemmings in Alaska. However, she finds herself distracted by the antics of a Husky named Bobo, who is recovering from a particularly vicious fight. At times humorous, this book would be great for pre-teens or adolescents who have an interest in nature. One of my teachers gave me this book in third grade, and I still re-read it occasionally more than 24 years later. It is a quick read with educational value as well as entertainment. Highly recommended.
