Valuable as a handy reference for print translators, as well as an intermediate vocabulary aid for conversationalists attempting proficiency in either Amharic or English. I only wish more of this author's books were still in print, and that this edition had been bound to better withstand the wear with which I fanned and thumbed my first two copies to pulp. I suggest that serious users protect transition pages with tabs indicating interfaces of successive letters.
