Excellent textbook. It contains detailed information on materials and theoretical analysis and design principles. Many good examples are provided in each chapter. There is extensive treatment on creep that is talked about but not taught in detail in most schools. Fiber element method of beam and column analysis is also given. Treatment of Column interaction includes circular columns and close form solution to cubic column interaction equations using numerical analysis. Treatment of prestressed concrete is very good and more than adequate for undergraduate course. Example designs by various codes such as IBC and ASHTO are given and helpful. This book is good for undergradute as well as graduate levels and is good for research, thanks to good references to other good sources.
I have many concrete design books, at least ten by various authors and have done research and writing on the subject. I am also preparing to teach the subject. I am very fortunate to have read this book and met Professor Al-Manasseer in person very briefly. Great and lucky find. I recommend this book to students and professors.
