Critical Acclaim "I continue to find Black's text an excellent contribution to undergraduate Microbiology education." --Karen Messley, Rock Valley College "I like the conversational and informal style Black adopts throughout the book. This is a book, which could very well engage even the most reluctant student. It is comprehensive, nicely detailed, and incorporates many aids to teaching and learning..."--Iris Cook, Westchester CC "[The text] is a wonderful introduction into the world of microorganisms for students from a wide variety of backgrounds."--Jeff G. Leid, Northern Arizona University "...I have found it [the book] accurate to a fault, brilliant at getting students motivated and interested in microbiology, and a great practical training book."--Gerard O'Donovan, University of North Texas Also available Laboratory Exercises in Microbiology, 2nd Edition Robert A. I received the book in very poor condition. About 1/3 of the book has what looks like coffee spilled on it. I am extremely thankful it's a rental, and that I did not purchase this textbook.

Very good condition and fast delivery
I received the text within a week of my order. I purchased the International ed for microbiology and they had the cheapest price of all who were selling the textbook. They copy I received had no marks, writing or highlighting and appears to actually be new. I would recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality at a good price.

Great Price
I cant say this is a great book, because personally if I did not have to study it for school I would have never bought it. What I can say is that I saved at least $70.00 buying it from Alibris. I bought it brand new for $50.00 when my college wanted $120.00 for a USED one. I actually bought another book I needed for Microbiology and paid $15.00 less than my school wanted and that includeds shipping. This is a great site to get books from. Im very pleased and will be back.
