Francis Crick (1916-2004) was a Nobel Prize winning molecular biologist credited with discovering the helical structure of DNA along with James Watson. In his later career at the Jonas Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA, he did research on the neurobiology of human consciousness and brain structure.
