after reading black rage i began asking black people had they ever felt like punching a white person. invariably the rage was repressed, but rage cannot remain repressed. i believe that a lot of the violence occurring in the black community is a result of the anger which is redirected toward fellow blacks instead of being channeled correctly. this book is beyond being a masterpiece. it should be standard reading for all black people in high school, but of course, most blacks have never heard ot it.
