A good adventure story
Escapist novel set in the prosperous 1930's in France. Adventure with some exciting scenes.
Author's command of the English language is superb.
I can recommend author's books to anyone who loves a good read.
He writes humorous books also: see the 'Berry' series.
I read all his fiction (about 40 books) while at school in the mid-1950's.
