Written before 9/11, this story presents the eminent threat of a terrorist bent on personal revenge with a mission of jihad. Credit Nelson DeMille with the skill of a natural storyteller who knows how to present a valid, 3-dimensional villain. As the story progresses, the tension builds to a head. One of the best in DeMille's arsenal.

Chilling!
Excellent terrorist mystery with eerie notes about possible terror plots that included the Twin Towers. And this book was published in 2000!
The story begins with a big bang and doesn't stop there. The Lion is one mean bastard...and killing means nothing to him.
I enjoyed John Corey's sarcasm and his give and take with his new lover, Kate Mayfield.
I was a little disappointed in a somewhat anti-climatic ending.
Overall a great read!
