Engrossing
I was interested from page 1 and kept my interest refardless of the fact that I figured out the murderer fairly early on. I was so engrossed that by the time they first mentioned Instpector Alleyn I had forgotten that it was an Inspector Alleyn mystery! Good descriptions of goings on, believeable dialogue, lots of intrique, everyone has a motive, snow storm etc. Great book to read by the fire!
Ngaio Marsh is the best
Suspense, excellent writing and so enjoyable to read..all that and the handsome Chief Inspector Roderick Allyen..that is all you need..
