Alexander. Good. 12mo-over 6¾"-7¾" tall. Moderate Creasing on Front Cover; Light Creasing on Rear Cover, Spine; Front, Rear Covers, Spine Lightly Chipped; Edges Lightly Soiled; Moderate Yellowing Due to Age. WORLD-FAMOUS CREATOR OF DUNE AND THE JESUS INCIDENT, FRANK HERBERT. SUB-TITLE: (Revised Edition). ALSO KNOWN AS: A different version of this novel appeared in Galaxy, under the title Do I Sleep or Wake. SYNOPSIS: THE COMPLETELY REVISED "AUTHOR'S EDITION" OF THE CLASSIC DEEP-SPACE ADVENTURE! "When the publishers announced that they were going to bring out a new edition of Destination: Void, they offered me the opportunity to make any changes I felt were necessary. Because of the tightly interwoven scientific premises behind this story and rapid development in fields related to these premises, it would be extraordinary if discoveries across thirteen years did not dictate certain revisions. You will find, therefore, that this newly-published version of Destination: Void contains significant additions, rewritten portions, changes in character development and certain deletions."--Frank Herbert.
Just finished DESTINATION: VOID, not for everyone but I honestly think Herbet fans will enjoy it. There's plenty of philosophical talk that Herbert loves. It can be daunting at times to follow the discussions between the characters but I think it is rewarding read. I honestly am surprised that this VOID-SHIP series is out-of-print, reading it reminds me once again how much thought Frank Herbert put into his books as compared with the uneven new DUNE novels that have been published lately.
