The play was first performed in New York City in 1980 and this published version was used as the basis of the Birmingham Repertory Theatre's production in 1983. The photo on the front cover of William Atherton and Joan Copeland (Arthur Miller's sister) in a scene from the new york production and the photo of Arthur Miller on the back cover are by Inge Morath the late noted photographer who was married to Arthur Miller. Fine/fine. Also included is a nice small archive of Arthur Miller material consisting of 1) Copy of Theatre Arts from March 1951. Includes the complete play of "Death Of A Salesman. Light wear to the magazine. Vg. 2) Large magazine like program from the Repertory Theatre At Lincoln Center from the 1970-1971 season which featured Miller's adaptation of "An Enemy Of The People" Includes material on Miller and the play. 3) 5 original playbills from "The Price", Broken Glass, and three playbills from two different productions of "A View From The Bridge" including Very nice uncommon 8pg. program with cover art by Ben Shahn for an Off Broadwayl production of Arthur Miller's "A View From The Bridge." This was an interesting production with early performances by Robert Duvall (Obie winner) & Jon Voight. The ass't to the director was Dustin Hoffman with a very modest bio. Soft corner fold to the top corner. Sold as a collection onlyl.
