I Loved It!
Bridging Beyond was an excellent book. This was the first time I had ever heard of Kathleen Benner Duble, but I will definitely read any book of hers. She is a very talented writer and knows how to pull the reader into the story. Bridging Beyond kept my attention from the very first page and I never wanted to put it down. The story moved at a good pace and never let me down. The plot was fascinating and the concept of genetic memory is absolutely intriguing to me. How cool would that be if you could remember of have visions of your ancestors? lives? We would have so much more knowledge and insight to the things around us. Kathleen Duble did a wonderful job with writing this book and keeping the reader involved, although I feel that she could have made it a little longer. I love the fact that Anna discovers so many similarities between her and her grandmother through the dreams and visions. She finds out that they both like to be rebels sometimes but were very good at heart. Anna would have never suspected that of her grandmother, yet is somehow comforted by it. The visions must be Anna?s way of coping with her grandmother?s death. If only we could all have them at some point in our lives, but I am sure they have a downside to them to. This book is without a doubt one of the best books I have read in a while, even though it was so short. It still managed to keep my attention and drove me to ask questions. It really developed a lot of curiosity in my mind and made me want to know more. It is more than a great book, it can give you an entirely new perspective on life.
