Seller's Description:
Acceptable. First edition copy. Collectible-Acceptable. Good dust jacket. Rear hinge cracked. In protective mylar cover. From the library of science fiction and fantasy writer, editor, publisher and prolific book reviewer D. Douglas Fratz. (science fiction, sci-fi, time travel)
Begins with the much used "a stranger gets killed" thread on a space station. Great characters, locale, and plot. But it seems like Mr. H. combined two ideas into one novel, as if he had the second part ready as a follow up to "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", then tacked it onto the plot already running through his head.
Any way you look at it, the Master made it work! I would recommend reading "...Mistress" first, to get a feel for the story line he brings into "The Cat...".
As with all his books, this is timeless. I've reread these and all his others at least a dozen times. They never get old, in between readings they're like a best friend you haven't seen for awhile, and look forward to catching up with.
