This is my 2 1/2 year old grandson's favorite book. We started with a coulpe of individual books from the library, which we read " a million times." When we found the compilation of all the books, I ordered 2 copies. Hard to tell which is more charming the illustrarions or the stories. The language and concepts are sophisticated enough to engage adults and clearly grasped by youngsters. How did James Marshall do that?
