This is a cute story that my daughter checked out from her elementary library many years ago. It is now out of print, but if you can locate a copy I think that you will find it a charming story of a farmer and his wife who have trouble with a different raccoon each day of the week. Every day the farmer catches the troublemaker in a cage, drives the critter a long way from the farm, where he then releases the raccoon in a nice grove of trees. Enjoy the book with children of all ages, letting them predict what they think will happen at the end of the week!
