The first is dated April 10, but with no year indicated. There are a few inked notations/doodles at the bottom and back of this second letter. As to the book itself (which is not signed), Very Good in a Very Good dust jacket. Mild bump to upper corners of boards/jacket. There is a slender 1.5 inch long strip of tape residue near top of front endpage where Powell's obituary had been taped (obit has since been neatly removed/laid in).
