My daughters and I LOVE this book! Crispin learns a lesson in a very kind and gentle fashion. I don't find the gluttonous cover very appealing, but the story is fantastic, and relates an important message about friendship versus materialism. The prose is really cute, the pictures are cute and funny, and kids are really drawn in. I'm impressed by Crispin's character development in such a short book. There's also a hidden message about parenting if you stop and consider the nature of Santa Claus. Terrific!
