This is a good, day by day, combat journal from one of the original "Band of Brothers". He was a member of Easy Company and parachuted into Normandy on D-Day and Holland for the infamous "Bridge Too Far". Written close to the actual events in 1947, it has a flavor of an eye-witness account. Most surprising was his criticism of specific officers and his ultimate dissatisfaction with army life in general.

what a great story
I got this books with high hopes and was surprised to find that it was even better than I thought it would be. The writing was great and I felt that I was right there with Mr. Webster throughout the story. This is a wonderful book to get, especialy if you enjoyed the Band Of Brothers series.
