When you pick up this book, don't have any plans. From the start you immediately want to hate the husband, But then you start looking at him through her eyes and begin to have some understanding why she continues in the marriage. Throughout the story you are brought to a variety of emotions, anger, joy, empathy and sadness....will she stay in the marriage because of her love for him or be strong enough to leave and stop
this sham? As with all of her novels a definite must read.
