I have read several books by Victoria Holt and, though not overly impressed, was mildly interested and decided to give Demon Lover a try. The book starts off fairly well but rapidly progresses to depraved and disgusting: rape does not equal love and I couldn't even finish the book after seeing that the main character was to fall in love with her abductor and rapist. Zero stars: one to avoid.
