Fair. The item is very worn but is perfectly usable. Signs of wear can include aesthetic issues such as scratches dents worn and creased covers folded page corners and minor liquid stains. All pages and the cover are intact but the dust cover may be missing. Pages may include moderate to heavy amount of notes and highlighting but the text is not obscured or unreadable. Page edges may have foxing age related spots and browning. May NOT include discs access code or other supplemental materials.
This is an interesting novel with lots of character and setting descriptions, but that's just what makes it tedious to read. Pages go by and the story line has not advanced much at all. Over and over we get various descriptions of Emma Harte's character traits. OK, may we need to be told this a few times so we don't forget, but not every time some new character is introduced into the story line who is going to be confronted by Harte's strengths and weaknesses.
"The plot is fairly simple and you get it figured out real quick what devil is driving Ms Emma Harte. Watching how this devil gets played out is what the story is all about. If you want a long leisurely, middle-of-the-winter-with-nothing-else-better-to-do novel, then this one would work. For all I've said, it is readable, just takes a while.
"Better suggestion is to get the 5 hour DVD. It has all the story and is much more interesting. You won't want to stop until the end of the DVD!
