Read the Book
Rest without Peace is an excellent book to read if you like a bit of history. The story is about Burke and Hare the body snatchers of old Edinburgh. From body snatching they turn to crime .....murder......their greed for money is so great it ends their demise.Its gruesome in parts and you actually feel you here in the story watching what these two rogues get up to. I have read a lot of Elizabeth Byrd's books some thiry years ago and this was my favourite, she is a very discriptive author and makes her books so realistic. Being a Scot from Edinburgh I found this book really enjoyable and hard to put down and a joy to read again after all those years.
