The scary truth about the supposed eradication of smallpox. Not a book to make you sleep well, but it's nice to know what's really out there.

Chilling reality
This book will enlighten all those who have only heard about smallpox in a casual context. The book opens with a true story about a man from Germany who contracted smallpox while visiting Pakistan around 1970. It is alarming in many respects not the least of which is a realization that a global pandemic could have resulted.
The book then continues into a very reader friendly discussion of the horrifying capabilities of this life form called smallpox. The effort by science to completely eradicate it from the face of the earth only to have one country's military take their last remaining sample (of an "official" two in the world) and create lethal bio weapons is just crazy.
The current nuclear summit is very topical today. This book will reveal what else a terrorist could do on a mass casualty scale if they were able to obtain this restricted material. We have other things to fear besides enriched uranium and this book will tell you just what that could be: a demon indeed.
