This book was an enjoyable read. The story begins with photographer Brandi Doyle running through a mountain forest on a rainy evening. She has just escaped her stalker/abductor and doesn?t know where to go or who to trust. Brandi doesn?t know why she was stalked and abducted in the first place. She stumbles upon what looks like an empty cabin in the woods, and she lets herself in. A short time later, the cabin?s resident and former private investigator Reece Covington arrives home to find Brandi asleep in his chair. He is a man hiding from the demons of his past ? being falsely accused and sent to prison for a crime he did not commit. Reece and Brandi soon discover their situations are linked and must work together to stop those responsible. The story was fast-paced and suspenseful with just the right amount of romance. I will look for more books by Shawna Delacorte.
