Caidy Bowman has a hard time moving past the tragic death of her parents she witnessed happening when she was 16. Christmas holds no special place for her. Yet she pushes past it for her neice making it as happy as possible. She has helped her brother raise his neice after his wife left him.
Her pup has a run in with a bull and she ends up with an emergency visit to the vets where she meets Ben. She isn't happy with Ben and his attitude toward her. He has just taken over the practice and bans her from helping him.
While sitting in waiting room, she meets his nanny and children. His children are a delight. She learns the nanny wants to find a house to get children out of Inn - which is run by her sister-in-law. She doesn't offer Foreman house at that time.
As she goes back to check on her pup, she tells the Vet he can move into her Foreman's house if her brother okays it. So next thing she knows a handsome vet with two children are living just up the road on the ranch.
Little by little their lives are through together as they reach out to help each other. The brothers invite Ben to the house with his children for a sleigh ride. Caidy will not sing since her parent's death.
