For those interested in a well-written book on the basics of ultrasound and how it is produced and used clinically, this is likely to be a good read. The authors are particularly careful about describing the physics in ways that medical practioners should be able to understand. Many ultrasound phenomena are explained in simple, but appropriate analogies. I am interested in therapeutic ultrasound, but most of what is in this book is also applicable to therapeutics use, so I nevertheless found it very useful.
