Die Erforschung desjenigen platonischen Gedankenkreises, der vom Begriff der Psyche bestimmt ist, wird sich nur dann eine ad�quate philosophische Deutung ihres historischen Gegen standes versprechen d�rfen, wenn sie sich bewu�t zum Ziele setzt, ihre Aufgabe nicht anders als aus dem Gesamtzusammen hange des platonischen Systems heraus zu l�sen. Damit eine fruchtbare Durchdringung dieses so eigenartigen und f�r die Geistesgesohichte doch so bedeutenden Stoffes moglich werde, mu� der Problemkreis der Seele im Rahmen der platonischen Philos0phie denjenigen Ort finden, der ihm mit innerer Not wendigkeit geb�hrt.
