This book was scary and suspenseful. I didn't want to put it down. It was thoroughly explained and realistic. Well, kind of realistic. If you liked his first book, Carrie, then you'll like Firestarter because they both involve someone with some amazing power. Firestarter wasn't boring and was full of action from start to finish. Towards the end, I was biting my nails with anticipation, waiting to see what's going to happen next. A really good novel from one of the best authors there is.
