I found the first book of the Ben Reese mysteries rather disjointed and confusing, but this second one is a little smoother. The author creates interesting and appealing characters, but the scenes don't always link together very smoothly. Having a beloved pastor killed by a bee sting isn't really new, but the way the plot is carefully built to at last reveal whodunnit is well done, and the widow and Ben's hosts are very likeable people I would enjoy having as neighbors myself.
