This was very good reading and I enjoyed it very much. Anne Rice is one of my favorite writers. She did a very good job writing this book. I had a very hard time putting this book down and in no time at all I was finished and very happy to have read this book. It is a book that I would recommend to any of Anne Rices' fans.

It'll make you cry alright
You will cry, you'll cry over how much you time you've wasted reading this garbage.
Its the story of a jealous brother who kidnaps his younger brother and sells him off to become one of the castratti. So the young boy becomes a singing sensation and swears revenge on his older brother. Along the way there is sex and Zzzzzzzzz.... Oh sorry I fell asleep in the middle of this book.
Seriously this is a long boring book that I read just to spite myself. Anne Rice wasn't getting my money then winning the battle of wills with me, oh no! Instead she still got my money and sucked up a couple hours of my life that I cannot get back. So the joke was still on me. But to say something nice, her descriptions of Venice sounded breath taking.
