This series is awesome and the first book is one of the best.
It's a great fantasy/sci-fi series (mostly fantasy) about a world called Xanth, which happens to be geographically the same as Florida.
Everyone in Xanth has a magic power, or rather they are supposed to. If they don't, they are banished to dread Mundania where there is no magic.
This is the story of a boy who is in search of his magic power so he can stay in Xanth.
The cover almost makes you think it's a children's book, but it's not. Sure, kids can read it, simply because they won't get the adult jokes. This entire series is full of puns.

wacky, funny and truely unique
Xanth provides the back drop for another exciting novel, filled with gut ripping humor, clever plays on words, mystery, intrigue and an all round great read.
It will be hard to put down and great to pick up. Great for pre teens on up.
