You can tell this is an early work of King's. The story line is not the most exciting but the back flashes and sub-plots are a good piece of story telling. The characters and their backgrounds are classic King. He drags you upto his characters and pushes you into their faces whether you like it or not.
Would only recommend to Stephen King fans.
