One of her darker novels
I love norah Lofts and have read most of her books. I am buying the ones I am missing on-line to have the complete collection. This is one of her darker novels about the struggles of a young girl who lives with a completely controlling father and tries to escape his stifling presence through love. What should be easy and natural in the life of a young, passionate girl , however, is not, & her circumstances go from bad to worse. I don't want to give away the ending, but if you like Norah Lofts, it is worth reading.
