This is about the interactions of a dysfunctional family revolving around an estate involving diamonds. Two brothers vie for the treasure in an outstanding battle of grit and nerves. I learned much about diamonds while they were being retrieved. The story packs a punch at every turn and has a surprise ending.
This author is very descriptive in his writing and as a result his books are truly the very best reading available. If this is your first one read them in sequence for total enjoyment.
