Moves fast and is an enjoyable read. Differs from the movie and in this case it is for the better. Very few times the movie out ranks the book, but in this case, movie wins.

Jaws ~ It's a Summertime must!
Ever since the movie, Jaws, came to the theater, the story has been a favorite of mine. Not a summer has gone by that I have not re-read the book and watched the movie.
When I learned the book was available on CD in an unabridged format, I immediately ordered it. The book, of course, has a sub-plot and a lot more detail. I enjoyed listening to it while working in my studio...and will surely listen to it again. It is one of those summer stories that never gets old!

Jaws sinks it's teeth in and doesn't let go
Jaws catches readers in th first pages, with a brutal shark-attack coming right away. The rest of the book (more so than the movie) deals with the townspeople, and how they each react to the shark. The finale is heart-pounding, and surprising even if you've seen the movie.
