She is excited about moving west but finds all kinds of harsh realities lie ahead, such as jealousy, marriage without love, ranching, drought, dying cattle, dust storms, and wind. Wind is the main theme throughout this book. It can drive people crazy. This book is so very well written. It's one of the top 10 books about Texas.
